At Romero’s Pic n Choose in Davie, Florida, our aim is to become the go-to restaurant for foodies as well as the Caribbean and Latin population in South Florida. For more information, feel free to contact us today.

Romero’s Pic n Choose was founded in 2018 by a group of dedicated friends labeled the “Family” as they would like to be known. The Family consisted of individuals who have a passion for authentic Caribbean and Latin culinary flavors. They embarked on a journey to create their own unique concept; Romero’s Pic N Choose “A Latin Caribbean Kitchen” 

was created.

Each member of the Family is dedicated to providing exceptional authentic Latin Caribbean Flavors and going above and beyond for each customer. Located in Davie, Florida, we aim to become the go-to restaurant for the Caribbean and Latin population in South Florida.

Colin de la Rosa  President

Colin was born in Trinidad. He acquired his management skills promoting parties first in New York then moving to south Florida.

Chef David Juarez

Chef David was born in Mexico. Coming from the town of Ticuman, Morelos, he acquired his culinary skills from his mother. It was on the streets of Ticuman that David developed his culinary art of making authentic Mexican street tacos and various Mexican street fare.

Wilma Romero

The company name, Romero’s Pic N Choose, was derived from her name. Wilma grew up in the countryside on her parent’s farm in Bolivia. Living on a farm and in the country, Wilma spent most of her time helping her mother in the kitchen. Cooking alongside her mother, she learned all she can about local culinary dishes.

Wilma kept her mother’s culinary secrets, which she now shares with Romero’s Pic N Choose. Additionally, she is an accomplished artist creating outstanding oil paintings.

Charmain Lovelace

Charmain was born in the eastern township of San Juan, Trinidad. An accomplished baker and cake decorator, she also possesses unique skill in Caribbean Cuisine. A graduate of L’Academie de Cuisine, Charmain has spent many years alongside her cousin, who is well versed in Caribbean Cuisine, learning and developing the art of authentic Caribbean dishes.

Godfrey de la Rosa

Godfrey started his culinary career at the early age of 10 at his home in Diamond Vale, Trinidad. Godfrey studied hotel and restaurant management at New York City Technical College. His accomplishments are numerous with his career placing him with some of the top brands in 

the United States.

Godfrey studied under some of the top chefs in the country. He is able to blend those cooking techniques with Caribbean and Latin flavors.
